Baby rash on cheeks are commonly found as baby has immature immune system. Some of the rashes on cheeks occasionally indicate less serious problem and need no serious treatment while some others need special treatment. Rash on cheeks occur may due to variety of causes. One of the commonly found causes of rash on cheeks is due to allergic reaction.
Baby rash on cheeks due to allergic reaction may occur in sudden and acute rash on the cheeks. Parents should not worry too much as this kind of rash does not belong to life threatening rash and once the trigger of the allergic reaction is identified, the rash can be treated.
Allergic contact dermatitis. The rash may occur on cheek as there is repeated contact with the agent causing the allergy such as baby facial cream, baby powder, baby drools, baby cheeks that repeatedly in contact with fabrics that laundered with harsh detergent, and many more.
The other example of rash found on baby cheeks is baby recently has consumed particular drug and reacts to it. A drug reaction is one of the causes why baby has rash on the cheeks. In addition to it, if your baby has started solid food your baby might react to particular food you have offered to her. Food allergy can cause rash on cheeks and it is common since baby has not yet develop the immune system completely. Avoid giving food that causes allergic reaction to your baby to prevent the rash to occur. Some of the foods that should not be offered until baby reaches one year of age are eggs, nuts, acid foods, cow’s milk and many more. To test particular foods cause allergic reaction or not, you can give one particular food for about three to four days and see if your baby reacts to it. You can continue giving the food if there is no allergic reaction or stop if there is one, note what foods that should be avoided too.
